This weekend, three new Limited Divisions, reserved for programs represented by only one team, will make their debut at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022.
This weekend, 39 teams will make history as they compete in a brand new set of divisions at The Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Florida.
At the beginning of the 2021-2022 season, the USASF announced that they would offer three new Senior divisions at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022:
NEW: Limited Divisions At The Cheerleading Worlds
Level 6 Limited XSmall/Small All Girl
Level 6 Limited XSmall Coed
Level 6 Limited Small Coed
These Limited Divisions are reserved for programs represented by only one team at The Cheerleading Worlds.
Teams qualified for their bids to The Cheerleading Worlds just as they have in the past, competing in their traditional divisions. However. when registering for The Cheerleading Worlds, the teams had the option to transfer to the appropriate Limited Division or remain in a traditional XSmall, Small, XSmall Coed, or Small Coed division.
The intention of these new divisions is to foster growth and retention amongst gyms that have only enough athletes to make one Worlds team.
This weekend, 39 teams will make history as they compete in the brand new Limited divisions. 18 teams will take the mat in the Limited XSmall/Small All Girl division, 10 teams will compete in the Limited XSmall Coed division, and 11 teams will battle for a globe in Limited Small Coed.
